Windows Subsystem for Linux

In the past I worked on my OS in Linux Mint, but since my computer crashed I must reinstall Windows.
After that I saw I can install Linux ON Windows.
Because my computer crashed I need to redo all, what I done before.
Now I'm at the point, where I want to install my OS in a VM.
But i can not install grub-legacy I tried with some other packages, but they can't make a iso for VBox.
Do you now a alternative for grub-legacy?
Or how I can fix it?


I'm using apt-get and apt for packages.

i also have the same problem at first,

use "grub-pc" since grub-legacy is not avalaible or has been removed from the package manager

sudo apt install grub-pc

not good idea to use bash linux from windows to make wyoos still use linux mint
